Fort Wayne police say that they have arrested a man who robbed the Flagstar Bank branch located at the corner of West State and Sherman boulevards in Fort Wayne early Wednesday afternoon.
Jason Cody Sowers, 30, of Auburn, was taken into custody in Butler by FWPD Thursday afternoon.
It was around 12:45 p.m. when police arrived at the bank but Sowers had fled.

The suspect in the recent W. State Flagstar bank robbery was arrested Thursday afternoon. He is an adult male by the name of Jason Cody Sowers. He was taken into custody in Butler Indiana through a joint effort from Fort Wayne PD, Butler PD, ISP, and FBI. Mr. Sowers had an outstanding warrant out of Huntington County and was also charged with a Robbery, Level 5.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department says it is investigating a robbery at the Flagstar Bank on West State Boulevard Wednesday afternoon. This bank has been the target of two other robberies in recent history.
FWPD officials say that a call came in around 12:45 p.m. that sent officers to the bank on reports of a robbery. Police say the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money. Police are now asking for tips.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call 911 or the Fort Wayne Police Department at 260-427-1201.

The Fort Wayne Police Department is actively investigating an armed robbery that occurred at approximately 12:44pm today at 901 W. State Blvd. Flagstar Bank. The suspect of the armed robbery left with an undisclosed amount of money. Below, is the photo of the armed robbery suspect.
