FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department says a home on the city’s northeast side has extensive damage after a fire broke out Monday morning.
The FWFD says when crews arrived at the 8300 block of Redstone Drive around 6:30 a.m., they found flames coming from the first story of the house and reaching into the attic. It took about 24 minutes to gain control of the fire and search the home for any occupants or pets.
The FWFD said no one was hurt and no one was inside the home at the time of the fire. The house was being renovated. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Fort Wayne Fire Units responded to a reported House Fire at 8322 Redstone Drive in Arlington Park. The first arriving Engine found moderate smoke coming from the house. Crews made entry into the house and found fire in a first-floor room and extending into the attic. Crews made an aggressive attack on the fire and searched the home. No victims were found. The house was under renovation and not occupied at the time of the fire. The fire was brought under control in 24 minutes. The cause is under investigation. No injuries were reported to Firefighters or Civilians. Fort Wayne Fire Department was assisted by TRAA, Fort Wayne Police, Neighborhood Code Enforcement, AEP and Nipsco.
