(ADAMS) – A winter storm is expected to sweep down out of Canada into the upper Midwest sometime today. Air travel could be impacted later today as the storm increases in strength.
Possible travel trouble spots include Detroit, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Louisville and Nashville. Conditions are predicted to leave a coating of lake effect snowfall in the Great Lakes region early in the week. The rain and wind from the storm system are expected to move into the eastern seaboard from Georgia up through New England starting Monday.
Meteorologists alert Thanksgiving travelers to the possibility of a domino effect with airport flight delays due to the effects of the storm.
