WASHINGTON D.C. (ADAMS) – Federal prosecutors are recommending probation for the woman from Bloomfield who was inside the Capitol on January 6th.
The Department of Justice yesterday suggested three years of probation, 40 hours of community service, and a $500 dollar fine for 52-year-old Dona Sue Bissey from Bloomfield.
She pleaded guilty back in June to being one of the hundreds of people who walked into the U.S. Capitol during the riot on January 6th. There’s no evidence she fought with police or broke anything inside the Capitol building.
Her probation sentence is in line with the sentences for others who have also pleaded guilty. The suggested sentences have come much to the dismay of some of the judges in January 6 cases.
Her friend that was also there was sentenced several months ago – also to probation.
