INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana health officials are asking schools to report COVID-19 cases.
Schools are required to report confirmed positive cases of the virus to the local and state health departments within 24 hours.
But State Health Commissioner, Dr. Christina Box says over 1,200 schools are still not reporting.
Based on the data officials do have, there were over 5,000 COVID-19 cases reported in classrooms in the past week.
